Episode 63: The Witches' Sabbath

"The Witches' Sabbath" by Stephen Bagby. A startling tale of devil-worship, witchcraft, and the Black Mass. Originally appeared in July and August, 1928 issues of Weird Tales, and as such is now in the public domain.

This finishes up this little series of horror shorts.

I forgot to mention in the podcast audio that the music is all from "Symphonie Fantastique, Op. 14", composed by Hector Berlioz and provided by Musopen.org.

Someday I may do a new recording of this one, as I really like the idea of using the music more completely throughout the audio. As such, I used the "Dream of the Witches' Sabbath" extensively during the big scene in the Cathedral of Horns, and not much everywhere else.

Happy Halloween, everybody.
